For the month of December, we are hosting all of our services – both morning and evening – in our new church building on Monkgate, the usual home of our Elim Link evening services.
Our Christmas Events
Morning Service in Monkgate
Sunday 7th December, 11am, Monkgate Building
Join us for our weekly morning celebration with welcome and refreshments from 10:30am. For children and young people, we also have a creche and Sunday School, which we will hold during the service.
Elim Link Christmas Party
Sunday 7th December, 4pm, Monkgate Building
Come and join our Elim Link congregation’s Christmas celebration with worship, preaching and food! Everyone is welcome to join.
Please note the earlier starting time: 4pm.
Family Carol Service
Sunday 14th December, 11am, Monkgate Building
Join our special family-centred Carol Service, with welcome and refreshments from 10:30am. The service begins at 11am.
Christingle Service
Sunday 21st December, 5pm, Monkgate Building
Celebrate Christmas with us in our special Christingle Service in the Monkgate Church Building, starting at 5pm.
Services after Christmas
Morning and Evening services in January
We have no services on Sunday 28th December, and will return in January with our Morning Service at the Novotel in Fishergate at 11am, and our Elim Link evening service in the Monkgate Building at 5pm.

Getting to the Monkgate Building
Join us in our new church premises on Monkgate, just outside the city walls:

Parking on Monkgate itself is limited to residents, but there is free parking on Huntington Road (10 min walk), or paid parking in:
- Monk Bar Car Park (£9.70 for 2 hours, pay using the PayByPhone app or by card)
Behind the church building. Enter by Lord Mayor Walk and the pedestrian lane will bring you out at the church. - Foss Bank Car Park (£9.70 for 2 hours, pay using the PayByPhone app or by card)
A nearby multi-storey car park. This car park is locked at 8pm. - On-street parking in Garden Street (£4.85 for up to 1 hour, pay using PayByPhone app only)
Short-stay parking in the street behind the church building.
We also hope to provide more free parking nearby, which we will confirm in the near future.
