Friday Youth

During term time we run a youth café every Friday Night from 7.30pm. We offer the space for young people from the community to come and hang out in Elim Corner. We play indoor football, have music, Wii, tuckshop and a café, and have lots of fun chilling out together.

The Hot Chocolate Supreme!

On arrival each young person gets a free drinks voucher which they can use at the café. Toasties and homemade cakes are also available to buy as well as chocolate, sweets and crisps.

The team who run the café want  to make Friday nights as fun as possible for those young people who come and so we’re working on some new ideas to make it an even better place to hang out. We’re also passionate about Jesus and love the opportunity to tell those who come to the café a little about him each week. So, at some point in the evening, one of the leaders does a short talk about a topic connect with being a Christian. Recently we have been looking at why Christians do certain things, like read the bible and pray.

Our Mission Statement: To provide an encouraging environment in which young people aged 11-16 are offered the chance to find their identity in Jesus.
