Grounded

Grounded is a York-based initiative for Students at the universities and colleges of York. The idea is to get students grounded in the local church and give support through mentoring, serving, ministry opportunities and increasing ministry skills.

York Elim supports the grounded initiative and is putting together mentoring groups led by senior church leaders, offering courses in preaching and discipleship (through lifeshapes), as well as giving ministry opportunities (preaching, leading worship, etc in our forthcoming evening services, plus all the standard ministry opportunities one would expect in a church: kids work, youth work, home group leading, music, audio technical, hosting), and any thing else our grounded students would like to do!

We also offer free student meals on alternate Sundays through each term.
