York Elim Church Changing Location

As many of you will be aware The Gathering (which currently takes place at Elim Corner) will be moving into St Lawrence’s Primary School from Sunday 5th September. The Teaching Service (which currently meets in St Lawrence’s Primary School) will be moving to Arch Bishop Holgate School (YO10 5ZA) on the Sunday 5th September. The change of locations are effectively permanent.
That means there is only 1 Sunday left before the big move. These are really exciting developments which we expect both expressions of church will benefit from as well as offering better facilities to those seeking a church.

Hello
I am a devout christian and follower of our Lord (Recently Baptised). It is through my berievements of which there are many in the family of Scholey that I come to you. Namely: Joyce Scholey of Pointin, Cheshire who is My beloved eldest sister in law. Also Susan Smith of Strensall, York. My beloved Youngest sister – in -law passed over several years ago (member of your congregation in York 2000) and later my beloved wife Beryl passed over in 2005. Also later My Beloved Brother in law Jack Scholey of Oldham. I wish to remember these wonderful people and I pray for them all daily. I dont know if you will remember Susan Smith but she was a well liked person in your congregation in York, she died on Christmas day and is at rest in the church grounds at Strensall as is my beloved Wife Beryl Turnbull, Together they rest in peace and the Lord speaks to me every Day of there” Well Being” which I gain great comfort from. I attend the Elim Christian centre in Plymouth at Cattdown and they do not know of my long term history. However I gain from the strength of their companionship each visit I make to their gathering. It gives me great strength and awarness of the words I recieve after my prayers, from our Almighty God.
The Lord sends to you all through my living vine and spirit, a true and sincere blessing.
God bless you all in York (My Birthplace)

Hi Edward,
Thank you for your comment. We are really sorry to hear of your friends and family passing away, but do hold in your heart the hope of a great reunion one day.
We do hope that you are blessed as you attend the Elim church in Cattdown and continue to follow the Lord with all your heart.
Every blessing,

Hi Edward,
My husband and I did know your sister in law Susan Smith and remember her well. She attended the York Elim church for quite a while before she died and was loved by all who knew her. She is with the Lord now and you will see her again one day.
God bless Joy & Gerald Seavers.
