Monique in the USA
Monique has emailed. She worshipped with us in York until summer of ’06 but is now home in the USA. Highlights of her email are as follows:
“Greetings from the Land of Sunny Skies :o) To celebrate my birthday I spent 12 hours downtown at the annual Jazz Jubilee Festival listening and dancing to classic and modern jazz, dixieland, blues and swing. The day before a friend invited me over to her house and we feasted on barbecued ribs, chicken and corn, with freshly picked cherries on the side. And of course there was chocolate cake and ice cream too!”
It’s now been over 6 months that Monique has been working at the autistic school and she is now wondering if it the right career for her. She is currently looking for a new job in the school districts to work with students with learning disabilities.
Monique says if you are the praying type, she would really appreciate your prayers, particularly for a good job.
